Sensational Solutions:
Lloyd contacted me with an exciting project: he was finishing his walk-out basement by making it into a family room/games room, with a bar, fireplace, and a big projection screen. As family time is so important with time spent with teen-agers and friends, this was an important part of the home to share Friday Night Poker with the guys, and with lots of arcade games for enjoyment.
We looked at options for the patio door and the many windows.
They needed Room Darkening qualities for a theatre atmosphere so our HunterDougles honeycomb blackout blinds with the Top-Down Bottom-Up Cordless Lifting System, was the perfect solution for the space and made for a a clean, sleek look.
They loved the tiles that were selected for the bar, and wanted drapery for the patio door that would highlight them. So we chose a modern zigzag pattern fabric in black, grey, and brown colours and that has added the WOW factor to the room. The drapery was mounted on a modern Wave Drapery Rod with a Distressed Wood Finish and a blackout lining to complete the room-darkening request.
We also looked at the new kitchen that had beautiful cabinets and backsplash. The window was a dark black hole at night, and gave full sun while preparing dinner. A Woven Wood Roman shade was the perfect solution, duplicating the cabinets and adding a statement of beauty and function.
I loved working with this family, providing solutions to fit their budget, and completing the installation in time before the Big Game Night with the Boys!
