We featured this client and their beautiful home last month, and want to share some new insights for this month as we feature the Master Bedroom, Den and Spare Bedroom. Be sure to take a peak at last month’s photos and write up.

Barbara shares their personal experience:

1. How did you find out about Sensational SEAMS?
   We were searching online for a company to install new drapes and blinds in our previous home. We just happened to come across the Sensational SEAMS website.

   Describe the most challenging window or area in your home that needed attention.
   In our new home Wilma designed drapes and blinds for several windows and patio doors. Our home faces east and west so it was important that treatments chosen provided UV protection to protect our furniture and hardwood floors from the sun.
4. What solutions were provided for your home?
   For both homes drapes and blinds were designed that completely transformed the rooms.
5. Describe how you felt when the installation was complete:
   ...rooms are transformed beyond expectations. The home becomes a different home. Surprising how the correct window treatments enhances your home.
6. What does this new look mean to you and how has it changed the way you view your home?
   The drapes were designed to attract your eyes upwards making the ceiling look higherÉand made windows appear much larger. Several different blind treatments have been chosenÉof exceptional quality and ease of operation that complimented the windows

   Wilma is fabulous to work with and goes out of her way to ensure customer satisfaction. This kind of customer service and pride in workmanship is a rarity.

9. Words from Wilma:
   Richard and Barbara have great taste and style and love the “Bling” accents in their home. When looking for solutions for the Master Bedroom, the headboard was the masterpiece of the room. I suggested reflecting the crystal buttons and drawer pulls by using crystal hardware on the window treatment. Also we raised and expanded the hardware to fit the scale of the room, used an Antique Silver finish on the traversing rod, and created beautiful full-length drapery that stacks off the doors when fully opened. New Cordless shades were added to the glass door inserts, providing a view to their covered deck and gardens and allowing light in during the day while maintaining privacy when needed.
   The guest room is a special place for their granddaughters to stay. What little girl doesn’t love pink!!! Barbara has made it so special for them with pink panels, creating a look and feel little princesses can enjoy.
   The Den faces south so protection on the wood floors was important. We replaced the partial shades with new HunterDouglas wood shades to cover the top transom windows which made a huge difference on the scale of the windows, a transformation Barbara was so impressed with once installation was complete. The soft suede-look fabric side panels is just enough to add warmth to the cozy room.
   I can’t see Richard and Barbara moving again anytime soon, now that they have their home just the way they want it for years of enjoyment. Creating spaces that suits their style with colour and design, and adding functional elements, is what we are all about. What a wonderful experience... Enjoy!
