We were referred to Sensational Seams and most especially Wilma Kulyk by a friend when we first moved to Newcastle. After moving to our next home in Brighton it was a foregone conclusion to consult with Wilma in using her ingenuity and creative prowess once again. - What exciting thing happened that made you call Sensational SEAMS?

In 2001, we were called in to create custom window treatments for Doug & Flor’s brand new home, right here in Newcastle. From the first time meeting them, their desire for attention to detail was very evident, and their aspiration to create something unique with superior quality was priority. All the rooms in their home were adorned, adding drapery in the Living Room and Dining Room, and Valances for each room in their home, along with HunterDouglas Shades and Blinds. When Doug and Flor told me they were moving away, I was delighted to be invited in to help them with their new home. Taking such great care of their investment over the 20+ years has paid off, and we were able to re-create some of the drapery window treatments into something new and fresh for their new home in Brighton.
We added new HunterDouglas Silhouette Shades in the Kitchen to match the existing Dining Room Shades, and a functional Duette Vertiglide for the Patio Door in the Sunroom now means easy “door-like” operation with superior heat control and minimal stacking with full view onto the deck. Re-created Valances for both rooms in the same fabric but with different styles really made Doug and Flor feel like they were “home” again in their new location. A bench seat cushion on the family heirloom adds extra seating when family and guest come for a meal at the table.
The Remote Controlled PowerView Shades for the Master Bedroom and Guest Room provide both privacy and heat control at the touch of a button. Not having to reach in behind the bed to operate the shades, Doug & Flor love the intelligence the PowerView provides that simplify their life.
