- Why Wilma was called in:
Ken & Wendy have been long-time dear clients of Wilma and her team at Sensational SEAMS. Ken is an amazing home renovator and it was their turn to renovate their own home. The living room, dining room, and kitchen windows/sliding glass door create an open concept area that resulted in the need for some creative approaches to the window design in that space. The kitchen table, chairs and barstools were also in need of refinishing and reupholstering for daily usage and wash-ability. The powder room window faces the front of the house so soft privacy was required. - The Sensational Solution:
The entire main floor was completely refurbished "and window coverings are like the icing on the cake". Soft, custom drapery panels frame the Living & Dining Room windows, paying careful attention to the details of PATTERN MATCH AND SYMMETRY of the designed fabric. Bold, modernized rods and square finial ends add pizzazz to the panels, and mounting rods just on each side keeps a clean look. A co-ordinating box pleated valance over the sliding glass door gives easy access to the BBQ and a worry-free space for their dog. HunterDouglas Duette Shades help block the morning sun and heat, while maintaining the great view to their outdoor oasis. CORDLESS CONTROLS maintain clean lines with no strings attached, which provide utmost child and pet safety. The dining room table and chair were refinished, and the seats and backs were re-upholstered with CRYPTON FABRIC pattern backs and soft faux-leather seats. A soft, linen fabric on a cafe rod on the powder room window creates just enough privacy while letting in light. - Going Forward:
With a unique approach to the curtain rods, lots of light comes into the living space for Ken & Wendy. This has created a WONDERFUL, CALM, AND INVITING SPACE for their family and friends. Thanks for letting me help you create the haven inside your house that you long to come home to!
